About Me:

With over a decade of experience as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation, I specialize in providing client-centered treatment rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and related evidence-based psychotherapies. I value creating a welcoming space where clients feel heard and understood, enabling them to actively engage in the process of growth, change, and overcoming current challenges. My approach emphasizes active collaboration, where I work alongside my clients to identify meaningful goals and create lasting, positive changes.

I find it valuable to incorporate self-care into mental health and professional practice. I often work with clients to establish and maintain self-care as part of the foundation of their mental health treatment. I maintain my own personal wellness through activities such as healthy cooking, physical activity, and time spent outdoors, which ensures my ability to be most present and effective as a clinician. This ongoing commitment to well-being informs my work and reinforces the importance of integrating self-care into clients’ lives as part of the therapeutic process.

Academic And Professional Background:

I received my Bachelor Degree of Social Work at Eastern Michigan University in 2014 and my Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2015. I have provided mental health and substance use treatment in various settings, including outpatient, residential, and inpatient medical and mental health hospitalization settings. I most recently worked for the Columbus VA serving our local Veteran population. I have helped clients facing a variety of mental health challenges—such as anxiety, PTSD, depression, and suicidal thoughts—while helping them improve resilience and develop effective coping strategies.

I have had the privilege of working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including different racial and ethnic groups, LGBTQIA+ identities, spiritual traditions, those with military experience, and a range of ages across the adult lifespan. I strive to create an inclusive and affirming space where each client feels safe to explore their perspectives, reactions, and build (or resume) a life they value.
